I offer a full service recording experience from start to finish. Depending on your needs, it can include:

 

• Recording: AKA tracking. Here, we use the best available and most suitable recording equipment to capture your performance. I have experience recording instruments and vocals of all genres from artists of all backgrounds.

• Mixing: Combining multitrack recordings into one or more channels. Here, we will tweak a recording's EQ, compression, volume, reverbs, delays, choruses and other effects to give the song a specific experience or flavor.

​

• Mastering: The final round of EQ, compression, limiting, harmonic and spatial FX applied to the stereo file to create a polished product.

​

• Producing: Project managing from start to finish, including contributing creatively and to songwriting and creative.

Recording Process & Tips

 

• Before coming into the studio to record, you and I will discuss your vision, wants and needs, and budget for your project. I will work with you to come up with a recommendation on how to most efficiently use our time, including allocating space for recording, mixing, and mastering. If you would like creative input, or producing services, as well, we can discuss that too.

• A great finished product can only come from great recordings and performances, so make sure you've practiced your performance and your ideas are fleshed out. Computers are great recording tools, but nothing can replace solid writing, musicianship, and planning that make a song sound natural and cohesive.
